Diana Ross: put this bitch in the hole

PHOENIX, Arizona (BNW) -- Diana Ross thought she was too good to do the little that the courts gave her for drunk driving. Now, Miss Ross has been ordered back to jail this week by an Arizona judge who said she failed by one hour to complete a two-day sentence he gave her for a drunken driving incident in Tucson.

She's so stupid, they need to put that bitch in the hole for a week!

Magistrate T. Jay Cranshaw said Ross left a Greenwich, Connecticut, jail several times while serving her sentence there. He now wants the singer, who owns a sprawling residence in Greenwich, to serve her time in Tucson.

Cranshaw said in court papers that Ross did not serve at least 24 hours straight as was contemplated by the court and that she fell one hour shy of completing the sentence.

"The Greenwich jail arrangement clearly does not comply with Arizona law," the judge wrote in a March 4th order. "To avoid any questions of impropriety, the defendant is ordered to return to Tucson to serve 48 consecutive hours in the Pima County Jail."

An April 1 review hearing has been set. Ross, who currently is touring Europe, is not expected to attend.

Last month, the 59-year-old performer pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol via telephone from New York. At the time, one of her attorneys said she was pleased to finally resolve the legal matter.

James Nesci, another Ross attorney, told Reuters on Wednesday that the singer-actress did fulfill her sentence and that there were "extenuating circumstances" not yet known to the judge. He would not be more specific.

"I feel fairly confident that once the judge understands everything, he'll change his decision," Nesci said. "There are things that need to be explained."

Ross was arrested on December 30, 2002, by police responding to a call of a wrong-way motorist in northeast Tucson.

Officers came upon Ross in front of a closed video store asking for directions back to a local resort, according to a police report. She allegedly had watery, blood-shot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.

In May 2002, Ross checked into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Malibu, California, before the start of a summer tour. At the time, her publicist told reporters she needed "to clear up some personal issues.
