Two people have been charged in the killing of a local pastor, but may go free

By Noble Johns

Crime is rampant in Chattanooga! There is not a day that goes by that a citizen is mugged, raped, robbed, kidnapped, murdered and more. As a result, there is a slaughter of innocence of the community and the civility of the land. When you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind.

Recently, two Black men were charged with the brutal murder of a local pastor. Antonio Henry, 25, and a 16-year-old male were charged with felony murder and especially aggravated homicide for the killing of Pastor David Strong.

According to the Chattanooga Police Department, the two conspired to rob Pastor Strong of money and valuables, but ended up viciously beating, stabbing and strangling the pastor. There is a caveat to this vicious behavior — and it is — this violence is not limited to the Black community. It has crossed over to whites. Just last month, some whites were kidnapped and robbed and put in the trunk of their car. Whites have created the problem of crime in the Black community and not it's on them.

The grisly details of the killing came to light following a traffic stop early Sunday morning. Police had received information that the car may be stolen last Tuesday, but were unsuccessful in making contact with Pastor Strong to verify the information. After failed attempts to reach Pastor Strong, a patrolman issued a BOLO — be on the look-out — for his vehicle.

The cycle of violence is out of control in Chattanooga because 'the powers that be' have spent their time trying to control the Black community socially and politically, and have left the Black community dysfunctional and fraught with gangs, crime and violence. Just last week, District Attorney Bill Cox released two cold-blooded murderers with gang-ties — one was a double murderer. Cox said he didn’t have enough evidence on the killers, but victims were gunned down in the street in broad day light.

Bill Cox will use the long arm of law at any poor citizen, even one with a simple traffic ticket, but he let murderers with gang-ties go free. That's Chattanooga justice for you, and now you can see that the apple don't fall far from the crooked tree!

Patrol officers stopped the two riding in pastor’s Strong’s care On Sunday morning the cops spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop to see if it was in fact stolen based on the BOLO. After questioning the two suspects, Police then went to the pastor’s house where they found him lying in the hallway of his home.

An autopsy revealed that the Pastor Strong had been beaten and stabbed multiple times and strangled. After assaulting him, the men took various items from his home including his car.

At the time of the traffic stop, Henry was found driving the vehicle, but another man riding with him was found not to be involved in the killing. If not watched closely, there’s a good chance Bill Cox — a known crook — will let Antonio Henry off if the price is right.

When you sow the wind of racial hatred and oppression, you reap the whirlwind of gangs, violence and murder.
